18 Aug County Council 1st Hearing on General Plan 9/6

COUNTY COUNCIL FIRST HEARING ON THE GENERAL PLAN IS SCHEDULED FOR SEPT. 6

At long last the first reading of the Draft General Plan before the County Council is scheduled for September 6. One month later there will be a public meeting on the Draft General Plan, followed one week later by the start of the County Council Planning Committee’s review and recommendations on the Draft General Plan. Please mark your calendar for September 6 and we hope to see you at the County Council meeting.

DRAFT GENERAL PLAN AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW

The Planning Department and County Council announced the availability of the Draft General Plan at: http://www.kauai.gov/council/generalplanupdate. We have also posted both the body of the General Plan and the appendices on our website under the “Resources” section for your convenience.

Please note that comments on the Draft General Plan are now to be directed to the County Council and not the Planning Department. Send comments to: counciltestimony@kauai.gov.
